4 Agreements Yoga
Great sequence! I love the idea of merging the four chords with Yin yoga. Thank you for posting this! In life, it is important to distinguish between dark and white, good and evil, love and hate. To learn from spiritual purity, inner peace, physical awareness – which is really the essence of yoga – we must first purify our inner self. Leanne, reading this book has been on my list for years! Thank you for taking the time to group these agreements together to live on and next to our mats. Maybe you practice yoga three or four times a week, or even every day. When you`re in class with this teacher you can`t get enough of, you seem to be on top of the world. You can feel that your true self is coming through more and more every day, and your body and mind feel healthier than ever! This feeling is like no one else, but sometimes, when we move from the carpet and back into the real world, this feeling can quickly fade. While these are great motivations and chords to get us to teach, these aren`t exactly the four chords I`m talking about. As Don Miguel Ruiz explains in his masterpiece “The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom”, there are four main rules of life that one must live by: as a yoga practitioner, I have seen how these chords can be used in the way I look at and practice yoga. Let`s open them up a bit.
This agreement has special significance for those of us who teach yoga.
