This was the first longer trip for Seraina and myself after the pandemic. We had planned it for quite a while, but due to possible changes due to the virus and because of visa issue, we literally didn’t know if we could take the trip until the day we left. Costa Rica and Panama had both been on our list both for the nature and beaches as well as for coffee. Before arriving in these countries, however, we spent some time in cold New York City. After a few days, it was time to fly to Costa Rica. The land of pura vida offered beautiful landscapes, beaches and lots of animals. We started in the North and, after visiting the Tarrazú region known for high-quality coffee, we slowly made our way down south along the Pacific coast and finally crossed the border to Panama. There, we spent the first few days in the coffee region Chiriquí before moving on to the capital, where we had a few last days to spend after our trip came to an end.
