Last October, we took a trip of about 3.5 weeks to Kenya and added a week on the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar. Part of the trip was for sourcing coffee resp. visiting coffee producers I work with at Drip Roasters. I also just published a blog post about the coffee-related part of this trip with more words and less pictures.

After having spent some time in the coffee region around Mount Kenya, we went on a 3 day safari tour in Maasai Mara. Our next stop was the beautiful island of Lamu, just off the Kenyan coast, where we also visited a coffee school project of the exporter we work with at Drip. Our trip led us down the coast all the way to Mombasa, before heading to a more relaxed, final week on Zanzibar. Besides beautiful beaches and nice weather, the island’s biggest city Stone Town was also well worth a visit.

I did not take many pictures, even though I brought my Hasselblad along with me, but I managed to get through some expired color film (and some unexpired rolls, too).
